Celebrate This July in Orlando!



 
Orlando has more than just Fourth of July fireworks - we have fireworks every day! Orlando is a blast every day but July comes and goes with a bang! ]

  • Walt Disney World hosts a ton of fantastic fireworks shows that will leave a lasting memory!
    • Magic Kingdom gives guests an incredible show each night with the breath taking "Wishes" show.  Fireworks and light and music envelope the castle and there is not a bad seat in the house. Don't miss it or the night parades! 
    • Hollywood Studios hosts "Fantasmic" each night at its own special theater.  Grab some popcorn and watch this amazing stunt, light and magic firework show.  It's Fantastic!
    • Epcot's "Illuminations" celebrates the world in an amazing laser light, music and fireworks extravaganza . You'll find a seat all around the world showcase for this one of a kind nighttime experience. 
  • Sea World Orlando puts on its own nighttime extravaganza with the new  Shamu's Celebration: Light Up the Night!  
  • Universal Studios- Enjoy the nightlife at City Walk at Universal Studios where you will find lots of fun night clubs, restaurants and more.

  • Visit Orlando's Newest Attractions located on International Drive: The Orlando Eye, Sea Life Aquarium & Madame Tussaud's  and enjoy seeing some night life on International Drive. 
 
 
  • LEGOLAND and LEGOLAND Water Park Celebrate the 4th of July with a bang at this third annual Independence Day event.  With a brick flag build and special viewing glasses that turn ordinary fireworks into millions of exploding bricks, this July 4th celebration is sure to dazzle and delight with three nights of family fun and fireworks. Hey What's Happening this June at the Orlando Area Attractions?

  • Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios is not going to "Let It Go" for all the Frozen fans out there. Twice a day, Elsa and Anna ride down Hollywood Boulevard to greet all the guests with an impressive parade. Even Olaf makes a few appearances as the official Ambassador of Hollywood land to cool down the crowd.  You won't want to miss the Frozen fireworks spectacular for a grand finale you'll never want to let go!   • Over at Epcot you won't want to miss the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series.featuring some of the greatest tribute bands rockin' to U2, The Bee Gees, the Eagles and many more during select nights from June to July. All performances are scheduled to take place at the open-air America Gardens Theater in Epcot's World Showcase.
  • Cool off at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and groove to Teen Beach Party 2.   Inspired by the upcoming Disney Channel movie "Teen Beach 2", this party will take place at various times throughout the day.  "Bikers" and "surfers" will dance and play beach games with guests as a DJ provides the retro tunes. Games will include relays, hula hoop spinning, and water balloon and beach ball tosses.

What's Happening This Month- February 2015!

It may be cold in your neck of the woods but Orlando is beautiful right now- not too hot and not too cold!

Blue Ribbon guests visiting Orlando this spring have plenty of amazing activities to enjoy so we thought we would highlight a few that you shouldn’t miss!

WALT DISNEY WORLD:
  • ·         Beginning January 17 and continuing through March 21, Disney's Hollywood Studios will host an exclusive preview of the live-action film Cinderella (due in theaters on March 13, 2015) at the ABC Sound Studio. The preview will start on the half-hour, from 10 a.m. until 30 minutes before park closing. Annual Passholders can get an early sneak preview on January 16 by showing a valid pass and photo ID at the ABC Sound Studio from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m
  • ·          The Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic will be held February 1 through March 1, 2015 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Entering its sixth year, Disney's premier four-week soccer event! The event traditionally features eight pro teams and includes six Major League Soccer teams competing in 16 games. After the tournament schedule is released, tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by visiting ticketmaster.com or calling (800) 754-3000 or through the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex box office.
  • ·          The Atlanta Braves will hold their 18th consecutive spring training at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in 2015. Champion Stadium will play host to a number of Braves’ Grapefruit League clubs in February-March, including the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets and Detroit Tigers.   • ·          The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is one of the largest women-specific half marathon weekends in the nation, takes place, February 19-22, 2015. There will be races for all ages and levels including The Disney Glass Slipper Challenge, which includes a 19.3-mile adventure over two days.

·        UNIVERSAL STUDIOS:

Catch Florida’s Biggest Party at Universal Studios with MARDI GRAS on select nights February 7 thru April 18.  February concerts feature Olivia Newton John (2/7) Jessie J (2/14), Bare Naked Ladies (2/15), Kelly Clarkson (2/21) and Heart (2/28). Enjoy your own Mardi Gras parade, beads and Cajun food along with some great concerts with the price of admission!

SEA WORLD:

SeaWorld Orlando wraps up Wild Days on February 7 & 8 with Jack Hanna. Jungle Jack returns to SeaWorld for a weekend of wild encounters. Here his stories and learn about some amazing animals. Later enjoy a cool block party at the SEA Garden and dance the night away!

LEGOLAND:

February 21 & 22: LEGO® Club Weekend featuring LEGO® Star Wars™ Miniland are going to be out-of-this-world with fun activities! Join other Star Wars fans for character meet and greet opportunities with LEGO Darth Vader, Star Wars building activities, costume contests and giveaways, plus take an interactive guided LEGO Star Wars™ Miniland Tour

AROUND ORLANDO:

  • ·        Take in a Magic Game at the Amway Center. The Lakers, Knicks, Bulls, Pelicans, 76ers and Heat are all in town this February. Check Ticketmaster for tickets. Check Ticketmaster for ticket information.

  • ·        Mt. Dora Arts Festival February 7 & 8. A short drive north of Orlando is the quaint but fun town of Mount Dora. This annual event features hundreds of artists from around the country along with shopping, food and more!

  • ·        How about a concert: Diana Ross (2/11) , Jason Mraz (2/15), Ringo Starr (2/18), Luke Bryan (2/19), The Bach Festival and more are happening February. Check Ticketmaster for ticket information. 

  • ·        The 134th Silver Spurs Rodeo of Champions is happening 2/20-2/22 in Kissimmee! Rodeo champions from all over the country compete in our backyard!
